My goal is to create work that inspires and connects with my audience. To that end, I am challenging how we can engage abstract thought with computer-generated visuals. Where is our approach to the 3D platform limiting us in areas where we could expand and embrace a new observable language? The internet and technology changed the way people absorb and collect information, allowing visual art a constant opportunity to impact and influence the user experience. As a multidisciplinary artist, I use form to interpret abstractions within the visual realm.
I am a conceptually-driven designer who specializes in 3D. I am a Junior currently pursing my Animation B.F.A. at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in Baltimore, MD. In 2013, I began my studies in 3D at a workshop lead by an animator from DreamWorks. By 2015, I truly began to embrace the medium and I find myself energetically working between Maya, Cinema 4D, Octane Render, X-Particles, and After Effects. As a MICA student, my work has been recognized with four awards by faculty and selected for display at three public exhibitions.
Before college, from 2007 to 2012 I held a strategic volunteer position for the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum which allowed me to gain experience in leadership roles, teamwork, and handling exciting, challenging work environments. While I have continued to take leadership roles in MICA group projects, I thrive in the challenge it takes to tackle solo projects.
